This role supports the Marketing Manager in identifying, developing, launching and managing tourism, airport and strategic partnerships for AirAsia in Australia.

Creativity, curiosity, tenacity and a “can do” attitude are essentials in this fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. Of course, a passion for travel and aviation go without saying. You’ll be leading campaign development in an exciting category, on a brand with strong growth, with a 7 seven figure budget.

What will you be doing in the role?

Karryon_airasia

Destination Marketing

  • Build consumer desire to travel to AirAsia destinations through: paid, owned and earned media. This includes: influencer marketing, creation and sharing of inspiring travel content, and famils.

  • This requires working with Australia PR manager to secure media coverage

Strategic Partnerships

  • Work with the marketing team to identify like minded brands  (similar target audience, objectives or allied product sector)  with whom to develop joint campaigns

  • Work with partners (and external agency) to develop campaign/initiative ideas

  • Manage and roll out agreed partnership projects within approved timelines and budgets

  • Prepare post campaign report

Tourism Body Partnerships

  • Work with Head of Commercial to secure tourism body funding

  • Work with tourism bodies, Marketing Manager (and external agency) to develop campaign/initiative ideas

  • Manage, and roll out agreed partnership  projects within approved timelines and budgets

  • Prepare post campaign report

Airport Partnerships

  • Work with Head of Commercial to secure Airport Partnership funding.

  • Work with our airport partners to promote AirAsia destinations, product and provide added value for AirAsia passengers (through their channels and paid media)

  • Work with Airport Partners (and external agency) to develop campaign/initiative ideas

  • Manage and roll out agreed partnership  projects within approved timelines and budgets

  • Prepare post campaign report

Commercial Planning

  • Support the Head of Marketing in the development of aligned annual and quarterly marketing plans

  • Manage the co-op budget

 

What skills and experience will you need? 

 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication OR similar disciplines.

  • 2 years or more experience in Marketing, Sales, Commercial for Aviation, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Telecommunications, Broadcasting and or any high energy, fast moving industry.

  • Team Player and Excellent Organization Skills.

  • Strong presentation and influencing skills

  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.

  • Strong Understanding of Consumer Trends and Cultural Insights.

  • Excellent knowledge and Interest in usage of New Media in Marketing.

  • Significant travel required, including an initial orientation period in KL, and regular head office visits
